Recruitment

Sigma Kappa is one of five National Panhellenic organizations on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas. At UCA, any Freshman with 12 completed hours and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 is eligible to go through recruitment. Formal recruitment occurs in the Spring semester, and informal recruitment occurs in the Fall semester. Sigma Kappa requires a 2.5 minimum GPA for every member.

The Recruitment process starts before the spring semester at the beginning of January and lasts three days. It is a mutual selection process - in order for a girl to get a bid to a sorority, she must choose that sorority AND that sorority must choose her. When you sign up for recruitment, you are assigned a Pi Chi, who will inform you more about this selection process and help you through recruitment.

Sigma Kappa holds several meet-n-greets throughout the semester to try to get to know girls before actual recruitment! We LOVE meeting new faces - and seeing familiar faces - so we encourage you to come out and hang out with us for a little while during one of these events.
